An experience of walking with a drugged man on Main and 9th avenue

Vancouver

I was crossing the intersection on Main and 9th avenue. A drunken or drugged man not sure what he has taken. He was in high and couldn't walk properly, as if he might have fallen down at any moment. I and three other seemingly high school students were behind the man. We saw that man's short was falling off his waist and could see he was wearing a woman's pantie. Looking at the pantie, one of the young boy couldn't stop chuckling and glanced at me and to his girlfriend. I thought If I laugh it could be dishonor to this old man. However, my heart was crackling in laughter. After crossing the intersection, unfortunately this man hit his forehead against a metal door of a restaurant. The man immediately started to bleed profusely. I was expecting restaurant worker to call 911. But they handed a towel to the old man. I was getting nervous and looked around. The two funny boy and girl were still there. I asked if one of them have cellphone to call 911. The younger boy took his cellphone from his bag and called the 911. While he was on the phone, this old man who have no idea how much be was bleeding, left the place and went through the alley. The man doesn't seemed to know that this young boy wanted to help him. I was so disturbed by the incident. That night I couldn't fall sleep till the morning was dawned. I don't know whether is it because I couldn't withstand the pain of old man. Or was it better for me if I had not been too soft-hearted person.

  2. I find it very interesting to hear about these experiences. You are exploring the intersection of worlds. The rules are less clear, but there is potential for a new kind of understanding. Keep writing. It will help.
